By Bloated Beagle Sep 7, 2016 11:34AM PDT When I upgraded to Mac OS X El Capitan I lost the (friendly and free) functionality of Nikon's ViewNS2 app which could do both. Tethered Shooting. Nikon needs to redesign the installer to work with El Capitan, but for now this is a work around. Hope everyone can follow this so you can carry on using El Capitan with Nikon.

Nikon announced the test results/compatibility of their software packages with the latest Mac OS X version 10.11 (El Capitan):
New installation of the following software applications under OS X 10.11 'El Capitan' is not possible. The results indicated below are based on testing when applications were installed under a version of OS X prior to OS X 10.11 'El Capitan' and OS X was then upgraded to OS X 10.11 'El Capitan'.
